The business operates in the travel insurance industry with a B2B focus. It is small, profitable, and well-run. The product set is relatively complex and has been developed by Matt, the CTO, with assistance from contractors and consultancies as needed. Permanent engineering staff have been hired through word-of-mouth referrals.
The problem
To continue growing their customer base, the business needs new talent and new technologies. Matt, the CTO, is unsure how to proceed. He has never had to recruit for roles or write a job description. Additionally, he does not want to spend time reading irrelevant CVs or talking to uninterested candidates.
The solution
SEEKR arranged calls with Matt to help him define the roles and attract potential hires. They created assets such as job adverts, email campaigns, and a video job description. SEEKR also provided a job description for the company website. They mapped the market for required skills against the budget. A targeted campaign of sending personalised video messages to relevant candidates began. Interested candidates underwent a 30-minute video interview with a SEEKR team member using a script tailored to identify desired personality attributes.
The result
In total, 8 CVs were reviewed, leading to 7 first-round interviews and 2 hires made before all first-round interviews were completed.
