The background
Lauryna, Head of Talent at Nord Security, was introduced to Oliver from SEEKR through an old university friend who had worked with him in London.
The company is well-funded and offers interesting work under a readily recognizable brand, especially within technology circles. They have a large and effective talent team but are facing challenges with some roles, particularly in a new hub in Berlin.
The problem
The talent team is spending a lot of time building a new low-level engineering team that requires candidates with excellent C++ knowledge and some interest or experience in either Rust or Go. They also need an engineering manager for the same team and a DevOps engineer to support them.
The solution
SEEKR arranged interviews with the existing engineers in the team to understand the technical skills and cultural fit. They also created assets to assist the search, including traditional job adverts, email campaigns, and a quick video job description to share with interested candidates. SEEKR also mapped the market for the required skills in Berlin, as well as in Romania and Poland. They initiated a slow and precise campaign of sending personalised video messages to relevant candidates. Interested candidates were given a 30-minute video interview with one of the SEEKR team members using an interview script specifically designed to target the desired personality attributes.
The result
6 engineers were hired, and an engineering manager (female) was also brought on board. The existing talent team can now completely entrust this aspect of hiring to the SEEKR team, allowing them to focus on other roles and make faster progress.
